i agree in part but what is so fraudulent about selling a domain name? The whois lists you as the owner/contact or it doesn't.

Godaddy has bene appropriating market share of internet services in a heavy handed way.

Maybe they won't stop appropriating domains and cancelling accounts if people speak up.

But if you paid for the names, what was there to cancel?

Sounds fishy.
