I personally think if you're not using a domain it's worth parking it. Parking programs do not charge for their service, so if you're earning $2 or $1000/month you're still benefiting. Even when I am only earning a few dollars a year for a domain I keep it parked, it offsets the renewal fee.
Once domains are parked they do not require much maintanice time.
