Decrease boot time with BootVis

BootVis is a free tool that examines your system boot process in order to optimize the prefetch parameters. It can drastically speed up the boot process.

You can download BootVis from http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=664 or http://www.softpedia.com/public/cat/12/2/12-2-1.shtml.

After installing and starting BootVis select Next Boot + Driver Delays from the Trace menu.
Click Ok in the following dialog, your system will reboot.
When the Desktop shows up please do not touch anything, BootVis will start up automatically after the examination has completed!
Now it's time to let BootVis optimize your system.
The next reboot will take considerably longer than usual!
When your Desktop shows up BootVis is still optimizing, please wait until the BootVis splash screen goes away. From now on, your computer will boot considerably faster. You should repeat this optimization process every 2 months.
