Gmail Beta -
03-22-2006, 05:59 AM
Will Gmail always be beta?It just seems like they have had that tag on their for quite a while. With so many users using the service and loving it, why would they not release it fully and offer public sign-up instead of requiring invitations. Does anyone know if they plan on implementing huge new features into the interface?

ya, windows live beta and yahoo beta r still under developement so gmail will not remove beta till , they feel they r top.google talk is good because low traffice then yahoo and MSN.
Gmail is top 1 , because no flash ads and pop3 supp.MSN live ans yahoo 360 r looking great then gmail.
If u take pro mails , yahoo will top, o nly probe with yahoo is huge ads.

I agree, gmail is the best out there. Yahoo and live are trying to catch up but i don't think they can. The beta tag has been there for a long time, which means they are still improving.

Yes i agree Gmail has been in Beta mode some somtime but like most high ranking footsey compaies on the stock market. They dont really want to release a product that they are still working on or worse still a product that may contain large amounts of Bugs that the average user may not see or even notice, But to a hacker maybe a gate to all Gmail inboxes ( Very Unlikly) but you never know do you
