Firefox 2 Has Been Released! (Go download it!)

Firefox 2 has just been released.

Our favourite browser has even more features to protect users from dangers of the internet and is faster and more customisable.

If you're still using Internet Explorer, go download Firefox and stop people from laughing at you.

Note: You may install Firefox 2 over your current Firefox installation. It works perfectly and preserves all settings like saved passwords, extension and all. I just tried it.

so it is finaly out of beta?
i thought they would make it an update after it is no longer beta
i tryed the beta but forfox 2 dont works for some of my favorite extenchins
(they proably are compatable but they set the compatability for 1.6 or somthing and i cant figure out how ot recompile extenchines)

There is an extension that makes old extensions compatible. **** if only I could remember what it's called!

The only trouble with firefox is its memory leak. I wish it could use some less RAM. On my first run, Firefox gobbled 45 MB RAM!!

well internet explorer 7 used 55 mbs of ram when it first loaded then it used plenty more when useing tabs
