It's a *us domain so it was only 1,750 points. *org *com etc is 2,000, not much though! I had enough for a *org (the com I wanted was taken) but I went with a *us

.info is also only 1,000 DDPoints (or just 99 cents at GoDaddy but you need a credit card if you don't have one)! DDBoard is very reliable compared to the other free domain forum I went to (D4F)

Anyways hostmysite.com guys giving any domain for USD 2.95, and no hidden charges like godaddy or others. I am buying domains from them as long as the offer goes on i,e, 31 March 2007. Afterwards i'll hang on to ddboard for my domain name needs. No doubt its the best resource for free domain and highly reliable.
