I tried for first time & i failed ! I lost some points too.It dosent matters.What matters most is my 1rep came down to zero.It really hurts me

Is this true that rep decreases due to stealing.I saw many members asking about decreased rep,so i wanted to clear out,the issue.

I think these issues should not have nothing in common. Somehow rep points decrease but it is not because of the stealing... I think.
But I am not authorized to speak about this, as I do not know for sure.

no it's not true, reputations and ddpoints are totally separate things.

Stealing itself doesn't cause negative reputation, as we just heard from weblord.

However it is very likely that when you get caught stealing (someone notices you stole from them) they will most likely neg.rep. you. Or steal their points back with some interest.

I saw weblord saying at a place "rep coming ur way whenever available". What does "available" here means.Is there some sort of fixed quota for rep ?

There is an anti cheat system in the rep system to prevent people from giving too much rep in a day.

& did you succeded or failed like me? I tried to steal from a member inactive since 8 months,thinking that there is greater probability,but i failed lol & ddboard said to me "SHAME ON YOURSELF" i felt really bad,& then then never tried.

I don't think so, I think angry users is cause... If another people have more points that me. Should be disappointed start from 0 seeing people with 4000 or more...

Thats true, I give -rep to anyone who steals from me....
So I think that is the correct answer.
