When you create a topic you get the option to add a poll to it just below the options. You get the same number of points as a new topic.

Wow thanks for the help. I was also wondering the same thing. However I have one question, can we create polls which have nothing to do with DDBoard such as what web browser do you use? or which console do you prefer? I would really love to create polls like that, cause that's what I used to do at some other forum which I've forgot the name of. Anyway thanks for the tips!

Yes, you can create polls like that. Check around the ones you've mentioned have already been done. While creating polls make sure they're relevant to the forum you're posting in.
