Okay, I have seen this asked way to many times, and to be honest, I feel like shooting the next person who asks it.
So, to prevent it from being asked again, I made this topic.
To figure out what your chance of winning is, follow the steps below.
We will assume that
X,
Y, and
Z are equal to the following:
Total Tickets Purchased:
Y
Tickets You Purchased:
Z
Chance of Winning in percent:

Now, to start, we use a calculator. (We use a calculator, because if you are stupid enough to ask this question after it has been awnsered a million times, you should need one

)
On the calculator, enter the value of
Z. Now, press the divide button. (It is represented on a calculator by a '/' symbol, or the '÷' symbol, both without the quotes.)
After we press the divide button, enter the value of
Y and hit the Equals sign. If you don't know what this looks like, and you have passed Kindergarten, do yourself a favor, buy a gun, and shoot yourself.
The value we have now will look something like this: 0.3549632... of course, the numbers will be different. Next, hit the multiply sign (an 'X' or a '*', again both without the quotes), and enter
100. Now, look at the decimal point, and the only two digits on the left side of it, in this case the
3 and the
5, is your chance of winning in percent, or the value of
X.

Now for people who are somewhat smart and do not want to read that, but are still stupid enough to ask the question above, follow these steps:
Enter the value of Z into your calculator, hit divide, enter the value of Y, hit equals. Multiply by 100, the two digits on the left side of the decimal is your chance of winning in percent.
