.com is so common and everybody automatically types .com after a website pretty much, but .org can also be good. I like .com. But a unique one like .info or .org can also be good in some cases.

P prefer .com because it is more popular. Peoples need to remember without extension but only brief domain name.

i prefer .com domain but if it is takken i take .org "i think that .org is better for organisation"

.com is the easiest to remember. when people type your site, most people just type .com at the end. i do that alot. i type .com when the site ends with .net or .org.

It has been set in mind that, if any one says a domain name, the other may add .com by himself . He wont ask you whether it has hyphen / extension etc such confusions occur if you register domain with [ for u / for you / 4 you / 4u ] chars in it.

Main problem is browsers default entry is .com [ so it has higher preference compared to other extensions]
