Is parking any domain feasible? - 02-24-2006, 11:57 PM

I have a new domain that probably won't be home to a site for a while - until I get it in gear at least. So, I can actually make money off it while it just sits there? I have often thought of putting the link into my blog posts, etc., but though that's dumb, I don't have a site up yet. Man what was I thinking!?

It really depends upon what kind of domain you have, if its catchy or is a type, you may park it at Namedrive or Sedo

once on np, i had a chat with a guy, he had like around 200+ domains parked at sedo and various other places. He said he made around 1.5K+ each month!

depends upon how much type-ins you get

Wow, that is a lot of money for parking a domain! Or I guess I should say domains! But I wonder just how much he spent acquiring those. The domain is just a proper name, so it probably wouldn't make much unless someone with that name becomes famous or something. Not feasible.

Yup! without existing trafic, you'll have to depend a lot on lost people for clicks

Well, it won't hurt to park your domain while you haven't developed it. Even if you don't earn much, at least it isn't idle, and you are able to test its natural traffic as well.

Yeah! Also, if you park it for sale, someone might offer to buy it and you will know its value A better idea when you think about selling it!

it's usually the common practice of domain sellers alike forgot to have or secure their own domain while selling domain names to others, it's just normal.
