Good list for beginners. What I did is open notepad, just create random sites. Soon I will come up with an idea (eg.. clone for XX, free smiley site ...) and I will do it on my host when I am done I fix the bugs, and delete it. That's how I got to learn more of HTML/PHP/MySQL

I agree with squeenix just learn html and css it isn't all that hard to learn and use and you can make a much better website.
