1&1 - 05-17-2008, 08:35 PM

hm. has anyone tried 1&1 for the domain registration services?

I recall reading things about terrible hosting they have, but nothing too negative about their domain registration services. Not to mention it seems cheap and free private registration is also rather appealing.

I haven't tried them yet but I've checked out their plans and they seem to be good, free Private Registration is a plus.

Pretty much everyone recommends the domain, not the hosting

their cheap .com domain registration promo is over. huhu. missed it!
anyways, like godaddy, they offer .info's for only $0.99 for this period!

hm. ive used them to register a domain, and it doesn't seem too bad.

i like the free private registration too. although i had to call them to confirm, overall i don't mind them.

all the reviews I've seen are 50/50 for 1&1. They seem like they have very good prices though..it was tempting but I still haven't tried them yet. If you use them though, turn off all your auto renews because some people were complaining about that...

hm. unless they charge higher prices for auto renews, i don't mind it.

afterall, i do plan on keeping my domain, and if the price stays, probably with 1&1.
