I think .com is the most popular, but the domain isnt important, the important is the host..

Well, you're planning to run some commercial business or website, then you should go for .com domains. But, if you're planning to start some web network or any other network, then you should go for .net domains. Note: .com stands for .commercial and .net stands for .network, just in case if you don't know.

a .com i better because ppl generally try .com first then .net .org and on and on......so .com gets more traffic.... so according to me .com is the best choice

.com is the best because its the default domain

its the first domain people think to type, its also the default for most browsers type ... yahoo in the address bar and youll notice it trys yahoo.com first

and from the last time i talked to a customer and told them to go to mysite dot net and they said it didnt come up and i then realized they had typed mysite.net.com i decided from now on whenever its a domain i want to be easily accessible i use .com's whenever possible

oh and as a note

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.com and xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.net are both better than xx-xxxxx.com -'s in url's are just nasty and they really **** for users trying to remember a domain

I like .net much better than .com! It isn't comonly used in evry domain, and I like to be original and use .net!!
