If you mean how much people earn on their domain reseller business, I have heard of people earning up to high xxxx figures per month. I have also heard of people losing money.

Since the domain name business is very crowded, it will take a lot of time and dedication to become profitable. It is definitely not something you can make quick money with.

The hosting reseller business is probably even more competitive, but there is more money on the table as hosting fees are paid monthly vs. domain fees which are paid annually. I therefore recommend a combination. Bring in customers with domain name services and then get them to buy other services with higher margins.

I am also curious, but would think it would depend on alot of different factors, as to much you might actually earn.

As I mentioned earlier, the market is extremely competitive. This makes it difficult to market your products and services to the masses. PPC ads on Google and Y!SM may cost a fortune, which the big companies are able to afford. They don't mind paying $50 for each customer acquisition, but the small resellers will go broke within no time at that cost per acquisition.

Some of the early adopters have been able to gain market share early on when the market was less competitive, and those are the ones that make good money now. Everybody getting into the business now needs to have a good plan of action and be creative in their marketing strategy.

Yes thats true. I tried this one time. I lost $50.00 doing this, and I'll never do it again. Its too much of a risk.

Its too hard to make profit. If you go into this buisness good luck.

It doesn't sound worth it, too many proverbial fish in the proverbial sea.

i dont get alot of profit because its hard to try and fit in with the massive business on the web, loads of people doing cheap deals. so its hard to compete.
if anyone is trying to get big, good luck to them.

Wow, it's funny because I hear a lot of people say you can make big bucks doing this, and now I hear a completely different story. Interesting. I don't think it's something I would try and risk.
