DreamHost?

Hey!I was just wondering what everyone thought of Dream Host.I hear alot of bad things about Dream Host,but have never used it.What do you all think about it?

Well, I do know a site that used DreamHost, and was greatly successful. How can people even think badly of DreamHost? It offers so much at such a cheap price, well, compared to what it gives you it should be double the price. I haven't used it myself, though. So I can't give a more detailed answer.

Well though I have heard good things about dreamhost. I ahave also heard that they oversell

They oversell, ALOT.
This causes their servers to overload, ALOT.
That makes them move clients around on the servers, ALOT.
And when they do that, they can lose data... and it happens ALOT.

Plus, someone hacked all the customers billing accounts a few months ago.

I've been using DreamHost for a while and I have no problems with it. I think it's the best host I've ever been on, actually. I ran into downtime only once throughout the whole time I was with them. It wasn't a big deal and nothing was lost. They fixed it within the hour.

Someone gave me the promotional code METABONUS and I got $97.00 off my first year. I think the promotional code is still active, so you can use it. My sister just used it last week and she got the one year hosting plan and domain for about 20 bucks.

I mean, it's only a few bucks for a year hosting with domain and everything, so I say you try it. With all that space and bandwidth, it can't hurt.
