Why do prices vary so much?

Why do the prices vary so much at the different hosting companies? I noticed that some of them are free, while others charge anywhere from $2.99 up to 99 dollars. Is there a difference in the quality of service? Are some just more reliable than others, or are there more features at some of them than at the others? Just wondering. I want to get my money's worth, but I don't want to pay too little and get bad service.

There are a lot of factors to look at for domain hosting.

Make sure its a good company. I purchased .99 hosting at one time and thought that I was getting a good deal. I later found out that they were down 99% of the time...lol...

Check out hosting bandwidth. This one is really important.

And make sure you buy hosting that gives you enough room to upload what you need!

- Bandwidth
- Storage Space
- Server Type (Linux, Windows, etc.)
- Supported Languages
- Supported databases
- Control panel
- Additional featires


In addition, you should tryu to find out how they rate in terms of reliability and customer service. For that, google them and try to find customer reviews.
