So does this mean that celebrity domain name registration is not so good idea.?

My basic question is what if the domain owner is not in USA. How can legal action take place then

Interesting. There are so many domains named after celebrities out there, I wonder how many of them will be involved in such dispute procedures.

I've come across a number of celebrity fan sites with the celebrity's name in them (much of the time it will be like firstname-lastname.com/net/org). They are usually owned by teens... Makes me wonder if they are going to get in trouble for those...

There's currently no law saying registering this or that domain name is illegal.
But there is a law "limiting" their usage.

so if i buy a domain like "a-celebrity-name.com/org/etc" i might have trouble with it but if i buy a domani like "an-ordinary-person-from-this-world.com/org/etc" there is no trouble because our "celebrity" is more important than another person right?
My opinion is that this is just stupid .

Then have you taken some time to understand this a bit more? Maybe try to
put yourself in their shoes?

I used to think that way...until I became more enlightened when I devoured all
and any thing I could about this subject.

The article didn't work for me, but was the action takin agianst fan sites. Or were they more agianst site's that bashed them?
I think it's pretty stupid to ban domains because publicity is publicity. And many celebritys make themselves look alot worst then anyone else could make them look.
