true. but in singapore, we do have police raiding a house if they have detected pirated downloads from that ip address. its not an everyday thing, but they catch to show they mean business.

lol, thats funny, I am in canada and i am a very high bandwidth user, a computer and a laptop on the network downloading pirate music, movies, and software about 95% of the time, been doing it for i would say several years and never had an email from my ISP, but then of course the only way they can email me is to sniff my connection for a day to get my email addy :P also never a single call from them for a warning of any sort

Just because the chances of you being caught are slim dosn't make doing something legal. If U.S. what you're reffering to would be illegal.

exactly, it is illegal in all countries but some countries just feel it is too much work and would cost too much to track every connection, and transaction that occurs on the internet within their borders.

its not illegal to take them but its illegal to distribute them without the right..

your partially correct on that sey, it is illegal to make copies of any audio or video that was not made by you in the intentions of distrobution of any sort, downloading via a p2p client falls under this law

It is most certainly illegal and (I am in the U.K so this is jst a guess) I don't think any country will be happy with you copying the content but I have heard it is illegal there but the policing on that issue is not very tight as they focus on the more sereous issues like murder and rape etc. but as I said I am just basing it on what I have heard. And sey it is illegal to take them as it is essentially the same as robbery.

It's maybe because people don't pay much attention to south asian countries
