best way to block images from being stolen - 04-11-2007, 04:03 PM

hi
i do alot of photo work and don't like my images being copy pasted or printed. what's the best way to stop this from happening?
i have tried a couple javascripts but they can easily be blocked.
how do i completely block images from being stolen?

Have you Tried making a Flash Design or Maybe make a flash Website and Upload them there. They are C+P Proof.

Though that, they still can have a screenshot taken and the picture be stolen.

For the flash method mentioned above, you can use this tool to convert images into flash:

Convienient, huh?
You could also try integrating them with the background. I don't know how that would work out, and the different screen sizes would probably get it messed up, but I suppose it's possible. Also, try watermarking every image saying 'if this image isn't on x.com, report it, please!'.

(Edit) I just read a nice idea on http://bored.com/pranksite/c_8_10/ComputerPranks.html. From time to time replace the images with another image that says something even advertising your site. That way you'll get them to stop after a while and get a few extra visitors!

if you're on a web host u can disable hot linking or using an html code u can disable people from right clicking so they cant copy...

You could try Converting to Flash it was just a suggestion, i guess these guys know more.

There is always a way to steal images from the web. Screenshot is one of them, although it may be a little harder compared to the copy paste, If it is an image, and right click is disable, I could just select the image by click dragging, then ctrl+c.. I got it already, also, I could also disable my javascript to copy the content.. I really dont think there is a way(that I know of) that is fool proof
