agreed as they maybe busy for such a big company.
there will be a peace free from wars until the time for your website attracts tons of visitors,
then they will play more focus on you or take some unexpected action.
For me, i will certainly avoid using such brand name senitive words for all my domain names

Thanks for the replies. As soon as I get 3,000 ddPoints, I will register usingyouros.com to avoid all legal disputes. I will either update this post or make a reply when it is successful.

u can add atext to ur site's footer that this site has no relationship with microsoft
u need to do this if u are making site that is related to any product of microsoft or windows

I have already done that. I put it in the body of the site, but I am changing the site now. I am still waiting for the domain name.

yes, avoid all m$ or all other famous brand name
until you got a written letter of the permission to use their trademarks / logos.
It is the safest way from troubles.
Then you can focus your mind and effort on developing your website.

I know my reply is a bit late, but atleast think of it like this : Using the domain name with "windows" in it, you are not doing any anti-microsoft stuff, you are infact promoting microsoft aren't you? (I'm not saying that they need any promoting. They have got all they need)

There is a site - Get Firefox Check it out. I don't know whether Microsoft has taken any action against them.

That last site had the Microsoft logo in it. I guess there are worse sites than mine. I guess it is good to change though, because I can cover Mac and Linux as well. It's a community that everyone can discuss operating systems. I'm still waiting on my domain name. I hope I don't have to wait too much longer.
