Depende on the script, some are loaded with callbacks and other features some just try and check manually.If it's not nulled correctly chances are you will be caught.

A null script is illegal already. It's like having a "cracked" version of a software.
If you are caught using it by your hosting company, they may suspend your account. If you caught by your ISP when hosting it, you will also get into trouble. If you are caught by the company who made the software, you get fined and get into trouble.
Safe way: Just buy the license (legally) for the script that you want to use.

if u want to use it u may do the same.. the chances of getting caught r so less unless one reports to the authorities.. now-a-days there r nulled versions of IPB available which allow you to have IPB look as if it is registered by writing in the footer:"Licensed To: You Website" But if the script makers know abt ur site then ur in huge trouble... to be on the safer side i recommend u to use a genuine script
