what trouble do you get for selling something you don't have?

because my friend started a company for selling items for maplestory.

he listed stuff that he didn't have, and people paid for them. but he didn't give money back.

how much trouble do u think he's going to get?

the items bought were for around $20 a piece. he sold around 30 of them

yah i think he did have the stupid fine prints lol.

My personal thought is that he can't get sued i've you read the TOS of maplestory and almost all other games then theres a policy that you may NOT sell stuff for rl money . S o the ppl who bought the stuff are doing illegal stuff to . The only thing he can get sued for is that he sold those items

i think that the publishers of the game will catch him and maybe close his account
bequse they want to make money by them selves and not let any one else to do it

As a matter of fact, even that is illegal in some countries. In mine, for example, though they rarely enforce.
