Null scripts have been purchased or obtained illegally. That's the way to put it. If you find a paid script for free anywhere, it has been purchased illegally or you have a really good bargain. You take your pick.

A nulled script is basically a script that has been hacked/modified into and bypass any security checks to determine if your copy is valid [so that you can use it]. Such scripts are illegal, and is no different from "pirated software".
An original script is a script that is legitimately purchased or obtained.
