using freeware

I have loads of freeware flash games on my computer downloaded from all over the net and i saw a few that could be integrated nicely into my website.The problem is....do i have to ask permission fro the authors to put them on my site?They won't be used for commerial purposes...just to entertain the bored surfer.

no, you don't have to ask someone for permission if ther are freeware

that's good...I hate asking permission.People are so uncooperative.Does that mean that i can use any freeware on the net without permission?

You do have to credit the author, however, but you usually don't have to ask.

freeware and shareware both are legal to distribute. but its usually asked of you to give credit to the author(s).

You dont have to ask them for permission, they're the freeware.

Unless you don't remove/hide the credits to the rightful authors of the games,

I think you should feel free to use / distribute / embed those games in your website.

And I'm not sure ... any freeware have license ... You have to find those licenses and read ...

example may be scx.hu - page with free stock high quality images ... all are free but have diffrent permisions, lot of them can be used freely, but some need permision or credit ...
