Who is declared as the owner of a domain ,the first day after its expiry period,unless renewed by the previous owner?

there was an interesting thread about domain expiries @ here in which it was stated that the domain actually doesnt expire right when it says it does. It actually needs 75 to 90 days before it'll be deleted. Anyways, to answer your question, the domain will be owned by the company that provided you the domain and will be deleted in a period of 75 to 90 days if no request for it is made.

Thanks a lot .. i didnt know anything about the 75 to 90 days part ..

can the company keep and own the domain if it has good traffic?

If the owner doesn't renew it or someone doesn't turn up to buy it,
in that time period, and also if it has a fairly good traffic,
i think the company can register that domain for itself without any problem.
