why do i have to give my personal info to have my domain registered? i understand its a private forum, but i don't want to give my personal info, even to weblord.

But this info is required to register a domain ...
Without this weblord can't register a domain for You ...
He won't use Your personal data for advertise or something like this ... You don't have to be worry about this

There are lot of people who could call stuff as theirs, so accurate info about you are needed to confirm it's yours.

ICANN rules state that registrars must obtain accurate contact information from the registrants. Not doing so is grounds for cancellation of the registration.

I used privacy protect and no one can find the owner of my domain while searching in whois directories.

can we change the details afterwards though. If weblord keeps his detaisl and then we change it to ours when we recieve the domain?
