Depends on what the software is, how much in demand it is, how well it was programmed, its functions and competitors. We always have to take into consideration that there are professionals companies out there making similar programs that are bound to be better than any individual's personal program. I do agree with M Nabil that you should just make it free and get revenue off adsense. Making it open source is bound to get you more money as well. Good luck!

that is good option if you are willing to give it away for free.

However if you really want to sell it , you could use clickbank.com to sell it. That way you could actually have thousands of affiliates selling it for you. You gonna have to have a webiste though, and theres a fee you have to pay(i think its $50..) all worth it though!

Well of course you can but first i think you are gonna have to register it as a trademark for your company and then you have all rights to sell it.. of course you can sell it anyway but i'm not sure what is gonna happen if you get cut..
