You probably could sell it without a license but it depends where you live, how yours selling, how much your selling, what it is, is it completely yours ect.

I say make a site for it and make it available for free download and put Adsense or YPN ads on the site.

I don't think AdSense would be a great idea. If you are trying to sell your product to your visitors why would you want to display ads from your competition? It doesn't make much sense.

i think you have to get a license which states it is commercial software. as far as i know this is free
