My Content has been copied - 02-12-2008, 01:11 PM

Using copyscape i found that some of my tutorials have been copied by this website: marky 's blog
He did not ask me for permission and he also uses my bandwith for the images and everything.
What can I do to stop this and how do I act?

Threaten legal action. Or you can pay us to DDOS his site until it goes offline.

The problem is that I can't find any contact information on that site. The only thing I can do is log into bloger using my gmail account and contact the support team. Should I do this and also is there a more easy way without contacting bloger's team?

t_mann,

First, he is using the Line "Copy from http://xtutorials.net", so he is not actually claiming the right, is he? Though what he is doing is not right, since he is doing this behind your back, and without your consent.

Now, if you are using any cPanel host for your site, then you can easily stop the BandWidth Steal. Go to cPanel and find security tab and HotLink Protection . Use that to disallow file type and allowed site like yours and any other. This feature is done especially to prevent BandWidth steal. Video tutorial should be there for any further help.

I am not sure how to contact the publisher. But you might try to make a post in his recent tutorial that was yours . Ask him to contact you. You should contact blogger team if he fails to contact you. Anyway I hope you'll get this sorted soon.

CHEERS!

10x for your replay HimelHawa. The feature from cPanel is really useful and I will use it.
Also I will try to contact him with a replay on the last post.
10x again

If you want to be really mean about this, you can even watermark some rude comment like "You're viewing stolen images!".

You could simply tell him off, people who do that usually get jumpy when they are caught. xP

From what I can see, he gave you credit, and the images are stored on fileden or tinypic (non of these will waste your transfer) so I think you should look at this from another angle - your tutorials are VERY GOOD, and you got a free backlink from that guy's blog
