ILLEGAL CANCELLATION OF MY DOMAIN NAMES!!

I bought aprxmtly 10 domain names from secureserver.net.
I ve given lots of money for apprising.
I started to negotiate with some customers to sell this name.
AND SECURESERVER.NET IMMEDIATELY CANCELLED MY DOMAIN NAMES,
registered some of them for themselves.And closed my account!!!
And they are not answering my questions!
PLEASE HELP ME ARE THERE ANYTHING TO DO FOR ME?
I LOST ~5000usd for this bad situation!

I guess we need more information to help you. Secureserver.net indicates that you registered with a Wild West Domains Reseller. Wild West Domains is part of the GoDaddy group and I find it unlikely that they would just steal the domains.

So, what is the exact URL you went to for registration of your domains, or what is the name this reseller is using.

Did you call the support line of Wild West Domains?

Most likely your transaction was sustpected to be fruadulent. In such cases WWD will close your account.

You should contact the support department and they will help you through the situation. Once you prove your transaction to be genuine, you should get your account back.

did this get resolved? Did you contact the reseller. I have heard of instances where WWD cancels accounts because they think it is fraud and when you contact them they will ask you for proof of identity and will correct everything.

Overall I think it is good that WWD takes fraud serieously as it is the only way they can keep costs down.

i agree in part but what is so fraudulent about selling a domain name? The whois lists you as the owner/contact or it doesn't.

Godaddy has bene appropriating market share of internet services in a heavy handed way.

Maybe they won't stop appropriating domains and cancelling accounts if people speak up.

But if you paid for the names, what was there to cancel?

Sounds fishy.

Sadly, I have heard this happen quite a few times (from various domain companies) Try to call them and see what they say. You might be able to get your domain registration money back.

I am so sorry this has happened to you. I will be sure not to do business with this company. Thanks for the heads up!

Sounds like a great reason to start a new registrar-the underground webby registrar webmasters can trust. What does it take to start your own registrar anyway? File with ICANN?

It costs around 25,000 in cash in reserve to start an ICANN Approved registrar and + a $2000 application fee. Aint cheap folks.
