[resolved] Redirecting

There is currently a page on my site that is redirected from another url.. Hmm I'm not sure that I'm making sence..

if you go to (not a real addy) www.myfriendspage.com it actually takes you to www.mypage.com/myfriend I really like this idea, for setting up new sites, while I'm building etc. sooo firstly, I'm interested in the pro's and con's... and secondly, I did it by handing my hosting provider 20 bux for a year. How does it work, how did he do it? Is that price average?

I think its in your registrar, you buy the domain and you point it to a certain URL I believe.

that price is too costly you can actually do a redirection by adding a statement in your .htaccess file

$20 a year for that does seem over the top. You could've just bought the domain and set a redirect yourself.

Pros:
- Get to show off your domain by redirecting your site to a different link
Cons:
- Domain does not go like yourfriendssite.com/friends/index.php it will just go from yourfriendssite.com to myspace.com/friends/index.php

I see no point of it, but to rather set up your own blog, like Wordpress and parking a domain in your hosting account. You can get free hosting here: http://liveworldhost.com
