what are google channels?

hi, i recently got in to adsens and when i am creating ads i see these google channels, i am wondering what is their purpose and are they important for generating income?
Can somebody help me out here cause i red about it on google faq's and i didn't quite get it.
I'm also worrying that cause of thous google channels i'm not getting any income, cause in about a week of my site being active i had around 900 impressions and no clicks.
How can i create google channels and are they important for making clicks count?

Google Channels are just a simple way of tracking where the clicks are coming from.

aha i see, so they are not that important, i can use adsens and earn money without them.

Chanels are not important for earning more. They are just names you can assign with your adds (make them group under channel name) by which you can later on analyze on which adds clicks are coming more.
