General Internet. From the forum title itself, discussion should be internet related only. Is this thread related to internet or web? i dont think so. There's no forums suited for this topic other than here. And take alook at the Member Help Forum description...
Quote:
Do you need quick help for a problem you are having? Post it here and maybe you will donate some ddPoint to the person helping out...
It doesnt specifically mentioned topics allowed are for DDBoard Feature only.
Anyway, i guess, ddb should make a separate forum for PC related discussion.

You can earn points not only by posting. You can check that on the 'how to earn points' thread. And i also bought someone's points since he doesnt need it anymore coz he is going to left ddboard. And aside from that, im also an active member of another forum where point system is also implemented. Some users there are also members here so we trade points.

@itpci, pls. refrain from making off topic posts. That is the 2nd time you did it on this thread alone. If you have any question or another topic you wish to discuss, PM the corncerned user or make a new thread. Im not going to report your off topic post nor give you a bad rep for now.

Anyway, to stay on the topic, anyone really knows exactly whats the problem with my pc or windows' sleep function?

Hey it's no problem Avril. You can post this topic here.

itpci, if topics are in the wrong section, moderators are here to move it. And don't post off-topic posts.

Dunno about your problem Avril, but in my last Windows XP install I could use the Sleep feature at all. But in this installation, I can. Maybe someone else can help?

I think that it must be the SMPS troubling U. Though it is a diffrent system in evry machine depending on the bios settings. Set them to Default

The sleep function are of many type >>> Like Hibernation and Standby ... I think you are talking about the Hibernation ( Since you are concern with the power).

I recommend to set default option for the BIOS

Hmmm, i dont seem to understand your post. Anyway, i guess it depends on motherboard or processor (im not sure which is which). Im using ECS board and P4 processor, and those people that i know who doesnt experience this problem are using Asus and AMD. Not quite sure though but i leave it as it is.
