Downloading Fonts

[SIZE=2]I just downloaded a few TTF fonts(.ttf files) last week on my "WINDOWS" file folder. That is my first time (downloading fonts). After that, I drag and drop the TTF files to my Windows "Fonts" file folder found under the "WINDOWS" file folder on my C: drive. Then, I used some of the fonts using Adobe Photoshop CS2. The next day I openned Adobe Photoshop, I found out that the fonts that I downloaded was gone. I tried to find it at the type tool at the fonts drop-down menu but all the fonts I downloaded was gone! I opened the "WINDOWS" file folder on my C: drive and thank god it was still there. I put all the fonts back to my Windows "Fonts" file folder. The next day, the fonts was gone, again! And the next day and the next day and the next. I had to put all the fonts back to my Windows "Fonts" file folder each day I want to use the fonts and its kinda annoying. The main question is, how do I put the fonts in my Windows "Fonts" file folder and make it stay there forever??[/SIZE]

go to control panel open the fonts section paste all fonts their

another thing i do is i convert it into paths or graphics so it stays there, problem is you have to give your .ttf file to your customer for them to see your work and have to include that file in your .psd.

I don't get it....

What do you mean?? I'm so sorry because this is the first time I download fonts to my computer. The other time my dad downloaded it.

try doing it the formal way....control panel->fonts->file->install font... and then choose your font

you can download most fonts for free but make sure it's royalty-free to give away also, when you create graphics requiring unique fonts:
(1) create it as a graphic/ turn it into graphic
(2) retain it as a font, give the .psd file and include the .ttf
(3) for paid fonts, you can't do that.

what do mean by turn it into graphic?? You mean like .gif and .jpg??
