Hello, I am in need of your suggestions...

I am making this website mabuhaynurses.com and want to make a community as well as post useful articles..

I am in a dilemma:

Should I use a cms like php-fusion, joomla etc?
OR
Should I use a blog software and make a separate forum?

I am more inclined to the latter but I need suggestions from everyone else... Thanks!
Please include which cms or forum/blog software I should use.. Thanks!

Just keep it in one site.. Use a cms to display new and whatsoever..

A CMS would be good. I think you should try phpWebsite (http://www.phpwebsite.com). It's a good CMS software script in PHP, and I think it's included in Fantastico, too. They have more themes in their website. You can add modules (forums, polls), users can register and the interface is clean enough for me. My problem with Joomla and MamboServer (which are almost the same script, by the way) is the categorization: it's complicated... But well, good luck!

I am keeping it in one site but just using different softwares.. they will all be under mabuhaynurses.com... I tried joomla but it's too complicated for me... i use php-fusion now but it's too cluttered...

And also if you know of any blog and forum integration let me know...

Set your budget. Compare Prices. Compare their features and services. That's it. I would recommend 'SimpleMachinesForum(SMF)' for your Bulletin Board Software. If you know some basic scripting, programming, skinning and coding, you can make a portal to set it as your homepage. It saves money and time.

CMS would be great for that kind of site, but you can make portal with forums too... check out on google for forum portals and you will find many interesting free/paid portal layout for forums!
I'd recommend you to try Simple Machines Forum [here] and you can use great Tyni Portal mod for SMF [here]

Everything is free here and i think this is the best posible free solution!
