Is it possible to buy a domain in any name that you want? Are some of them not available? How exactly does this work?

Yes, it is possible to buy any name if it is available.
You have to go to any registrar site like www.godaddy.com or www.namecheap.com and search for the domain u r looking for. It will show u whether its available or not and then u can buy it or search for something else.

Thanks! I should think my name would be available! If not, it will be interesting to see who has it and what they are doing with it.

1st of all you need to check whether your Dream Domain is available of not here whois.sc/
Then you can buy the domain from any registrar
