experience with hosts? - 02-10-2006, 04:09 PM

I am amazed at the number of different hosts to choose from. I was just curious how many different hosts anyone here has used in the past, and what was the biggest problem you had with your last host?

Biggest problems are probably:
  • Sporadic downtime
  • Customer support response time
  • Customer support expertise
  • Billing issues
I have had all of these problems with smaller hosting providers. I have probably used four different hosts so far.

Research Research and more Research....nothing else can help you.
Select a few hosts, then ask about them in forums such as these, read there reviews, check there sites, compare rates with other hosts..and u'll know

Personally i use PolurNet.com and RealValueHosting.com
both of them are good

I had the same question, thanks for asking. I have not yet begun to search for hosting, but I know a few companies that offer it. I know what's cheap and what's not, but I have no idea which is most reliable.

Hmmmm...I keep reading that GoDaddy.com is not good for hosting. But everything I have read has only mentioned their forums, so I wonder if it is just a problem with the forums they offer as part of their package, or if sites without the forums have the trouble as well. I'd be interested to know.
