Directories for sites - 02-25-2006, 12:11 AM
What would be some good ones? I think one person on this board has one. All I know about are directories for blogs - www.globeofblogs.com is a really good one. But what about for sites that are not blogs?

try getting into www.dmoz.org the best open source web directory

DMOZ is deffinately the best! Good luck getting listed Takes a while.. but once your there you will see a great jump in traffic! In the meantime, the best is going ot be whatever directory you can find that isnt overloaded already, preferably where there are only a few other sites like yours and not 10 pages

DMOZ,yahoo directory are the top two directories but it is difficult to get you site in DMOZ as the editors take lots of time in Yahoo you must pay $299.
also adding in other small sites help.Also submit your site to http://www.imobilecentral.be/

Some other popular ones are Zeal and BoTW. Also, you can check out this list of search-engine friendly directories and submit to the ones you like:

i think Imho nowadays everyone has their own personal or corporate blogs, at least require .xml or rss feed submissions for the content to be displayed on your directory of blogs as well.
