Top ten ways to irritate visitors to your site and make him register

I once had a bad experience with NetZero, the undisputed king of trying to annoying customers into staying. It would refuse (yes I said that) to allow me to cancel my subscription. Only after 2 months did I manage to cut it. (hint: never sign up for free 1 month "no strings" trials, ever, ever again) I know my mistake, and my experience had led me to never use netzero again.

Of the things that piss me off about sites, its ones with:
1) 1000000000000000000000000 popups and ads that fill your computer with crud
2) Unbearably horrible music that suddenly blasts out
3) Have a black background and white text...
