How many banners on your webiste?

How many banners do you have on your website? How many is too many?

Personally i think one is enough. Anymore and your site looks tacky and the visitor knows your out to make money if they are revenue based. Another thing, dont use adsense as that sends a bad image to the user

I disagree with memeh. I think you can have more than one banner or ads if they integrate nicely into the site without disrupting the user experience. One thing to keep in mind is that animated banners may be more disruptive than non-animated banners.

I also disagree about the use of AdSense. AdSense is very widely used - even by sites with good reputation and does not send a ad message.

I agree with you about animation of banners. But adsense definately sends out a bad message. This calls for a poll

Lots of great information here, and you both have very valid points! I never thought about the adsense in that way before. I wonder who else thinks this as well.

i dont have any banners on my site!

ads yes...
banners no
they are sometimes tacky, ugly, and ruin layouts

just have one banner on my site..im not for or against it.....it just sits there well placed and looks good
