Just had a disagreement with a fellow user about the image of Google adsense. Do you think adsense sends a message to the user that the website is based around the owners desire to make money?

I voted "No". There are thousands of pages using AdSense and even sites with good reputation use it. I think if it integrates nicely into your site, there is now issue.

A site's reputation is made up by the site as a whole (design, content, links, etc.). AdWords is only one component and does not create a negative image by itself.

no, i think it also adds some style to a site, if you choose your colours well

not many ppl except the webmasters and other techies know about adsense.

I voted no also. I see nothing wrong with adsense on a website. If you can make more money off of them, more power to ya. IMO

I voted NO too.Because some visitors finds your site usefull with the adsense picture ads around, it brings colours to your site.

It does not give a bad image.
Iam happy with adsense because if my visitors dont find anything in my site they would find in the ads
