What kind of Search Engine Optimization can be done on forums to improve the rankings?

Looking for some tips to improve my own sites, never really done much Search Engine Optimization but I have started to pay more attention to it lately.

I basically know nothing about Search Engine Optimization and really need to get more into it before I do my next site. All I know about is link exchange, PPC, and blogs, lol. Very much the newbie.

I don't know much about Search Engine Optimization either, but I hear it it more of a science than an art...so it really shouldn't be too hard to learn. I mean that it sounds like you just use a certain formula to optimize the pages.

As far as optimizing a forum goes, the only CMS that i seen with this MOD was Xaraya, but as soon as I saw it I was in love! It automatically adds dynamic text to keywords that you program within it! I imagine that adding the Wiki that many CMS's are now offering probably helps in the serps too
