Someone else jump in here and correct me if I am worng, but I do not think you can.

Are you talking about a free site like yahoo or something? I do not think they would allow that. Those are supposed to be for personal use only.

Hope this helps!

You can put it on any site you want, as long as you have control over the content of the site and it complies with the terms and conditions of the AdSense program.

So if you have a site at www.geocities.com/something you can go ahead and put it there.

read the terms and conditions
you can put it on any site you want, as long as you own it
this means you cant put them on a site like wikipedia.org or something
but geocities yes
read freewebs terms and conditions
same goes to bravehost etc...

No, you cant, atleast not on geocities site.
Y?
coz geocities sites already have ads by Yahoo on them. and the Adsense TOS says tht ur site cannot have another context-based-ads on ur site.

Read this
Quote:
Competitive Ads and Services
We do not permit Google ads or search boxes accessing Google search services to be published on web pages that also contain what could be considered competing ads or services. If you have elected to receive contextually-targeted Google ads, this would include all other contextually-targeted ads or links on the same page as Google ads. This would also include ads throughout the site that mimic Google ads or otherwise appear to be associated with Google on your site. Although you may sell ads directly on your site, it is your responsibility to ensure these ads do not mimic Google ads. If you have elected to receive Google search services, this would include other search services on the same site and non-Google query-targeted ads. We do allow affiliate or limited-text links.

Thanks for correcting me. The answer than is, you can put AdSense on any site (paid or free) as long as it does not violate the AdSense TOS or the terms and conditions of the site provider.

OK, So you can if you do not violate TOS right?

I will have to read the TOS and find out then.

We can keep it.
I have seen many Geocities pages being approved by adsense so when they approve it they know that YPN is already there on that page

Make sure you read the TOS for both Adsense and the place you want to add the Adsense. Geocities or whatever other free domain you are going through...
