I haven't used anything but winrar, it works great for me and has never let me down I can't imagine going back to winzip, it doesn't compress that fast and that much as winzip in my opinions..

I use a program called IZArc. Running alongside it is 7Zip which I use in case things don't work so well. Both free. I once used WinRar but left it behind because it can't compress tar.gz or .tar files...though it can extract them. Both IZArc and 7Zip can do that along with many formats not supported of WinRar. And they can, as well, create self extracting executables.

Awww....a pirate...But you don't need to crack it, it doesn't expired (although it says expired) You can't still use it as usual. The only catch is that annoying little window...
