Are you familiar with GAIM? -

GAIM is an Instant Messenger software primarily designed for Linux but is now available with Windows. It's cool because, through it, you can log in your multiple accounts from different providers such as Yahoo!, MSN, IRC and so on in just program. Really useful, but I havent't fully tried it yet.

I use GAIM, it works wonderfully, except with the new Yahoo Messenger, my friends aren't able to send me files. It gives them an error saying I'm using too old a version.

The beta keeps crashing on my XP but I've got the stable version running properly. It crashes if I log-in to my hotmail account but thats a known issue.
I only use it when I want to connect to the Gtalk network.
