Free Flash Editor For Linux! -
12-28-2006, 10:51 PM
F4L (Flash4Linux) is a flash editor/builder that can export .swf files and is used for building flash animation and movies. The program is beta 4, so I'm not sure how well it works. The module loads and the program runs without errors but it should be considered development stage. http://f4l.sourceforge.net/
I just heard that D4L (Dreamweaver4Linux) is coming soon! Can't wait!

another good alternative to flash (and can also export to swf) is OpenLaszlo: http://www.openlaszlo.org/
It is very powerful and also free. I used it and i recomend it. It can export to flash 8 and they have a project named Legalz that will have a lot of new features.

The people making F4L stopped a few months ago because of legal issues with adobe and macromedia. So it isn't properly finished and never will be.
When I first saw it a few months ago I was really happy and thought it was great, but when I downloaded and ran it it was really buggy I searched google and then found out it wasn't been made anymore.
