I was just wondering what graphic software do you prefer for aditing/creating images. I prefer using photoshop and Gimp as an alternative. Please let me know what is your favourite.

I like The Gimp the most. It is free and is very similar to photoshop. I have a very old version of photoshop that is becoming out of date, but I like The Gimp more anyway. Its free with lots of cool features and plugins.

I think it depends of what you want to do. For editing photos photoshop will be the best. But if you want to draw and create new stuff the best choice is a vector based software like CorelDRAW or Illustrator

I'm also wondering why it's closed...
I use Photoshop because it's simply the best for what I do. I got Cs3, but it's beta and it's all I use. It's much better than the old one even with it's few bugs. It loads faster and takes much less resources when your using it and it's still beta so it will be great when it's done.
