Microsoft Publisher??? - 02-15-2006, 09:24 PM

Can I make an effective page with this? I know very basic HTML and CSS, and most of it I do with the help of cheat sheets. I am confused by Frontpage. Has anyone here built a decent site with this program?

Yes Microsoft Publisher is a Great WYSIWYG type program. I recomend using pure HTML, but Microsoft publisher isn't a bad thing to use to get used to the website world.

Thats right - WYSIWYG. Publisher (frontpage more or less) are very simple programs in which you can design good looking websites in minutes without the need to know any sort of programming or web jargon!

Yeah, I'm not a programmer by any means. I've only learned the very basic of HTML, although I plan on teaching myself some more. I guess I was looking for the easiest way to build a site without using a free host or one of the cheesy site makers.

Frontpage is the first ever publishing software I used to make a site. It was good enough for me back then, but now I don't use it anymore. There are some people though who can make nice sites with Frontpage.

It's excellent for people who do not want to bother learning about coding. After all, how can you be against point and click?!
