yeah, there's something to be said for coding your own custom CMS. I'm actually working on one for one of my sites, but it's still good to have CMS for people who don't know how to code very well. for that I always suggest WordPress. It's a blog software, but It also works well for CMS.

I wouldn't reall recommend Cutenews, many sites claim that it is vulnerable to being hacked and stuff. Use FanUpdate as an alternative instead. The sites mentioned here is if you want an inline CMS on your web template. I am currently using Wordpress as a CMS, as well as FanUpdate. Have already tried using Textpattern but too complicated for me, just stuck to WP.
